Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) was born out of the necessity for a new political paradigm in Bangladesh—one led by the courage of the youth and dedicated to the rights of the common people.
Following massive student-led movements advocating for fairness, equality, and democratic rights, a collective realization emerged: true change requires systemic political action. In October 2021, student leaders, youth organizers, and conscious citizens united to form this party, challenging the status quo of traditional politics.
Since its inception, GOP has faced numerous challenges but has remained steadfast in its commitment to fighting corruption, establishing the rule of law, and ensuring that every citizen's voice is heard.
